My DVD is 18 months old. It is a Phillips DVD625. Last week it started freezing and then it just stopped loading the disc. Any ideas?

It's either died or needs cleaning.

That's what my old Sony (notice Sony rhymes with phony) started to do that before it died. You could try cleaning and it just might help for a short while, but be aware your machine is in the first stages of a slow death. And if you consider taking it in for repairs, for what it would cost to do that, you'd be better off buying a new player.
