having problems with my diamond dvd player...it plays in black and white now, why? help!

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I have a big problem. I was watching a movie the other night and for some reason, I accidentally pressed some weird combination on my remote control and my dvd player flashed the words 'pal' and the image changed to black and white. I cannot change it back, help! I haven't had any problems with it before, the model is a diamond dvd player from wal mart. Any help would be appreciated, I don't know how to fix it. Thanks for any help

you accidentally set your dvd player to play PAL video settings. you need to find a way to switch it to NTSC. turn on your dvd player without a disc in it. then, press the "set up" button on your remote control. look through the menus to see if you can find PAL or NTSC somewhere, and set your dvd player to NTSC.
