I have the newest edition of Mrs. Doubtfire on my wishlist on the site. It was supposed to release May 8 and I can't find it anywhere. It's not on BestBuy.com, Walmart.com, Amazon or anywhere else. Does anyone know what is going on with it?

Looks like it missed its promised release date. It is one of DVD Empire's "Pre-Announce Titles." They say, "This title will soon be available for Pre-Order. Click the 'Notify Me" button if you want an email reminder.'"

Yes, Fox has pulled yet another release off it's calender for now. But apparently there are some very lucky people out there who actually own copies of this DVD. How you ask? Well, U.S retailer, FYE (For Your Entertainment) actually received a shipment of this release. Obviously before Fox's decision to pull it and the store was able to sell what they had in stock. Many people were able to order the DVD online from FYE's site and they received it without a problem. That was when it was still in stock. Right now, it's availability is listed as "Back Order."
There are FYE stores in malls but i doubt they have any copies left. I guess all we can do now is... wait. Unless someone has a better idea.

Well, here's an idea :-)) I guess I could locate the MRS. DOUBTFIRE multi-disc, Widescreen SpEd LaserDisc Box Set, that I got off eBay years ago ($14), and check out those extras...
But I bet the now delayed Fox SpEd DVD set will offer some newer bonuses, plus have the added improvement of an Anamorphic presentation [16x9 enhanced) so we just have to be patient and "wait" (as you stated).
Speaking of Fox, I sure wish they would release a second DVD of one of my favorites, THE ROSE, in a new deluxe SpEd, and include the musical outtakes of the complete concert performance(s), that director Mark Rydell filmed for this movie. Bette Midler and her awesome ensemble of band members were incredible in that film (among whom included harmonica genius Norton Buffalo, of the Steve Miller Band).

If you are an Ebayer, that'll probably be your best/only shot at getting this DVD. I just bought my copy. There were two other copies on there that sold for $31 and another one for $21. I bought mine for, well lets just say, a much higher price. BUT i managed to bargain a bit w/ the seller and got it a bit lower than the asking price. That seller has a few copies left. The reason why I bought it at a high price was because I wasn't sure if I would ever see the DVD on sell ever again. After all, only a handful made it out to the public. (Just trying to justify the expensive purchase. haha)
Anyway, I just hope this suggestion will help you get your hands on a copy.
