Just saw the trailer of it on the apple trailer site.
I Have to say, it does look "Intriguing" but i couldn't ignore the fact that this is the 2nd epic movie in which Angelina Jolie is faking (poorly) an accent.
I hate movies with accents. It's like watching one of those world war two films were German generals talk in perfect English with a German accent and when they give a command to the soldier next to them he replies "Jawohl"

This is, like, the third or fourth version of the story to appear in the last few years, isn't it?
About the accents, I suppose the cast could all speak in Old English, the early eighth-century language in which "Beowulf" was written, but then it would be indecipherable to modern audiences (it was made up mostly of Germanic words). Or everybody in the cast could use their own voice, but then it would sound like the "TMNT." I'm with Chris. If it was good enough for "Hogan's Heroes," it's good enough for me. Where's Sgt. Schultz when you need him?

If the original author of Beowulf was too lazy to sign his name, I say we don't worry about what stinking language everyone's supposed to speak either.

Yeah, I think I might have to skip this one. This motion capture stuff is interesting to be sure, but I'd still rather watch real people. The whole "dead eyes" thing creeps me out. They still have not figured out a way to motion capture people's eyes, and the results are always clearly visible. I'll see it for the interest factor, but I'm not expecting it to be good. Maybe since my expectations are low, my experience will be better.
