Does the HD DVD version of TMNT contain all the special features on BOTH sides?

Yes, the HD DVD and DVD Combo disc has the same extras on both sides, all in standard definition.

That's sweet. Do a lot of the combo discs have features on the SD side?

it depends on the title. the sd-dvd sides of warner and universal's combo discs are usually the same mastering as the single-disc (or disc 1 if there is a two-disc edition) sd-dvd releases. some titles, like "breach", have a bunch of extras on the sd-dvd side. some titles, like "letters from iwo jima" and "300", have almost nothing on the sd-dvd side because they are the same as disc 1 of elaborate two sd-dvd sets.

That's cool. I don't yet have an HD player but I'm wanting to starting phasing some into my collection. Half the reason that I buy movies are to watch the features, so I can't justify spending $30 on a movie to just get the movie and not be able to see the extras till who knows when. I might have sprung for TMNT had I known a little sooner that all the extras were on the SD side too!! Thanks again for the input!!!!
