Pop ups have been long since deemed unprofessional and annoying. They really detract from the quality of this site. We're all grown up here [I would hope, otherwise I'll feel a bit embarassed being here] and we know how to click on normal advertisements if we're interested.
Could we PLEASE lose the popups? They're so...nineties!

I haven't seen a pop-up ad at DVDTOWN in years. Do you, perhaps, not have your pop-up blocker activated for the site? (Firefox, IE7, Avant, Netscape, Opera all have pop-up blockers.)

I've got my pop up blocker on...half the time I click on something I just keep seeing at the top "pop-up blocked...if you would like to view the pop up, please click here". I just looked at what it was - turns out it's custom smileys, LOL! It doesn't harm anything, I guess...but the little yellow information bar [which I could probably turn off, but I do like to keep track of webmaster's habits] and the sound...bloop...bloop...bloop - it's distracting. And I still think pop ups are very nineties! )
[edit->] This is the only site that I visit that does it, by the way.

Well, I can think of a few porn sites that do it, too. Ah, popup blockers are a pure joy.

If you dont already, use Firefox, + Adblockplus, AND Adblock Filterset.G Updater. I get absolutely no pop-ups or bars that tell me theres ads. Adblock rocks.
