It's strange how so many of Sony's "innovations" seem to come along at the same time as other people's innovations - and they just so happen to always be a similar technology too.

With as much money as they put into trying to push other people's creations aside, you'd think they would just invest in trying to actually invent something that hasn't been thought of yet - they would surely have the advantage!

sony is thinking about changing its corporate name to hubris.

Sony would love to be the largest in the world (obviously not, as Samsung and IBM are larger), and Sony is not even #1 out of Japan [Matsushita, Hitachi, are both larger, even Toshiba has a larger Japanese-area sales market percentage than Sony, according to a previous report].

Occasionally in some particular categories, Sony is often at or near the top based on REVENUE [as their Bravia line was #1 in 2006, based on revenue].

And currently, Sony is #1 in losing money on defective/faulty computer laptop batteries, and in quarterly red ink losses for their investment in Blu-ray and PlayStation 3.
