BRAVEHEART SPECIAL EDITION DUE 12/18 NOT ON HD

Can someone tell me what HD paid $150 million for? This is a prime catalog title that is being released a week before Christmas and it's not on HD. Please tell me HD will be getting more than Shrek, Transformers and Anchorman?

EDIT: Does bluray have The Matrix trilogy yet? HD DVD got that aaaages ago.

Studios have generally been releasing their new movies in SD and HD DVD/Blu-ray on the same day and date. But they've been releasing many of their special-edition catalogue titles (older films) in standard definition first and later in high definition. It's the way WB has been releasing almost all of their HD DVD and Blu-ray movies for the past year. Since Paramount are releasing both "Chinatown" and "Braveheart" in SD special editions in November and December, my guess is that they will release both titles in HD shortly into the new year.

don't worry about what's being released on hd dvd or not...just concentrate on making sure that new blu-ray discs don't look as bad as "bram stoker's dracula" does.

Also, Paramount is known for making release dates public for DVD first. Which means that a HD DVD version could still be announced for the same date.

Oh, and Transformers and Shrek 3 still counts for something and finally shouldn't we drop the $150 million debate. To be true we don't know what happened and how does this differ from the Blu-ray camp buying space in various stores or buying studios to make sure they support Blu-ray. Its a war about money, ugly things happen.

WAIT. I've got it. I just saw the press release. Airbud will coming to HD. Damn. I guess I'll have to learn to to live without that one.

Falcon, those gotta be some dumb movies, .lol.. and i give anything a try.

all i really really like that bluray's got is spiderman, others i might like, but not really really like.
