Got it today and while I'm not a big fan and hasn't played 1 and 2 I most say it grows on me.
It seems to be one of those games that gets better each time you play it. Lets see if I feel the same a week from now.
Anybody else playing Halo 3?
Now, back to the game. I need to find a Warthog and a driver =)

Halo? I just got into Oblivion. I only like games where I can be the shameless geek that I know I am.
I think Halo is mostly for people to vent frustration, at least, that's what it seems to be when I go online and get my ass handed to me before I can fire a shot.

A few comments after more time with Halo 3.
A amazing score. The best for a game that is not based on film by far.
Second. The replay feature on this thing is amazing and truly bugles the mind. The ability to fly around and view every corner, every fight and every shell fired in the multiplayer game you just played is incredible. And it doesn't stop here. You can save film clips and screenshots of your battle and upload it to your online account for show.

I've been playing Halo for like 4 years now, and trust me on this piece of advice. If you can get 3 other friends of yours, (that you like see) get on a TV and do multiplayer online with your friends. I've literally spent a ton hours doing that. It helps if your friends are about on your skill level though. I basically haven't stopped playing Halo 3 except for to go school and work! Halo 3 has better graphics than most of the games for 360 too. Although the heads of your comrades are kinda block-like.

Our take on the story

This is me driving in a multiplayer game while a teammate is shooting after bad guys.

We can put pics in our posts? Sweet! I just saw the Img option as I type this.
Nice pic by the way Henning )
EDIT: Looks like the third emoticon which is a Wink doesn't work. It consists of a semi colon and a bracket but it doesn't come up because semi colons don't work. All you get is the bracket ) when choosing that emoticon. I'll post this in your other thread Henning.

The game is way overated. H3 feels very similar to H2.. (rightly so). This game adds nothing new to the genre. The single player is too short around 7 hours. I don't have XBOX live so for me this game goes back to ebay. Bioshock is a better game than H3. Its long and its satisfying. For some reason, I felt that the difficultly level in h3 at normal level is reduced a bit. MS knows that millions will buy this game so the AI is bit questionable. I remember h2 being bit tough in some sections in normal mode. Oh well the game is fun and the gamer will get a kick out of it!.

For me games has to work in MP. This is where I spend most of my time. I like to deal with humans
Halo 3 works very well in MP and really shines with 16 players in one map with vehicles and vast landscapes.
For me it is the best First Person Shooter so far. I only see Call of Duty 4 mess with this. The MP Beta was truly awesome.

i read in various websites that the game AI in normal mode had been reduced because of the wide audience, and that for more advanced players to increase it a notch and asume is normal mode.
i think is true, since i know people that just wanted to play the game, but not compete, achieve, or have nothing to brag about.. and basically just finish it.
increasing the difficulty changes alot of things i noticed... and live is just crazy, everyone on my friends list (about 30) when i log on .. just shows them playing halo3. cam features etc. is pretty cool, woke up the onlinecompetitor in me... which i had not taken seriously lately.
i agree though, there are better single players out there, but is great overall, single multy, coop.. the vehicles etc... alright, time to go play!

They said any Halo vet should be playing at least on Heroic because of the dumbed down AI on normal.
I've gone through heroic on my own, and legendary with 3 friends and its no breeze. Normal however seemed like Easy (when I went and collected the skulls).
Some pics of me in multi.

Microsoft Game Studios: We're in the money!
Posted by Marc Saltzman at 2:59 PM | E-mail this post
Holy sales, Batman. Microsoft Game Studios' mega-popular sci-fi shooter, Halo 3, for the Xbox 360, has generated more than US $300 million dollars in revenues worldwide its first week. The game debuted on September 25 and sells for $60.
No wonder Bill Gates seems so happy about the game: "Halo is truly a cultural phenomenon, and the launch of Halo 3 is an important milestone for Xbox 360 and for video games as entertainment and as an art form," said Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft.
"'Halo 3' embodies our vision for the future of entertainment, where some of the world's greatest creative minds will deliver a new generation of interactive storytelling."
It's also a hit online as more than 2.7 million gamers have already played Halo 3 on Xbox Live in the first week, representing nearly one-third of the 7 million Xbox LIVE members worldwide.
