May HD DVD should pack a coupon in certain movies to redeem free movies by mail. SD DVD did that when they first started out and I obtained a few freebies that way.

You mean aside from the 5, 6, 7 or 8 movies you get free with the HD DVD player?

Here's another idea. Should Toshiba/Microsoft be willing to toss another 100+ million at HD-DVD, this time instead of buying up studio rights only to have a producer such as Ridley Scott not release a prime title like Gladiator under that studio (Does Ridley have the same clause as Spielberg and complete control over his movie releases?)...instead spend the money on a huge HD-DVD player give away. Give away say 300,000 HDA30s across america in the Best Buy's, Circuit City's, Tweeters, etc... under this clause: if your store wants to participate in the "HD-DVD across america" campaign and give away say a hundred units it must give equal display space to HD-DVD as Blu-Ray and that means actually playing video for consumers on at least the same amount of screens as Blu-Ray is playing on.
Further, include with every free HD-DVD player form letters addressed to Spielberg and Ridley Scott and perhaps others stating the user would buy an HD-DVD title of one their films if only their films were available on that format. Perhaps the producers would still ignore potentially a hundred thousand unit sell or more of some of their titles to keep supporting Blu-Ray or perhaps not.
