How do I firmware?

Ok so I want to burn the updates to a CDR, and I did that. But I put it in my A 2 HD DVD player and said it would not accept it? What did I do wrong, do I need to compress the file( and how do I do that?) If someone could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

I updated my HD A2 the same way. On the site when you find the latest firmware version there is a link on the left side that tells you how to burn it to a CD. I can't remember the exact process but I believe you have to burn it as an ISO image. Check the link on the site though, the instructions were easy enough for me.

Use a CD-R. Toshiba players cannot read a CD+R.
