Am I the only one on the side of Blu-Ray? I have no problems with their products or their methods. I am very happy with my Blu-Ray Player. I think it was smart of Sony to incorporate it into the PS3

I do have both blu ray(PS3), HD DVD player. I think that Sony doesn't release more PS3 games on purpose. They want you to watch movie, NOT playing game.

As the article stated, the reality is Blu-ray had much stronger releases up until now, with HD DVD only recently starting to have must haves. Biggest of course being Transformers, which I have to say I wouldn't trade for 30 Blu-ray movies. That's the honest truth. As for the 1.1 bluray interactives, that is still not ready for prime time. If you look at the recent news on the release of Terminator 3, instead of pip, it's burned in images - not pip. I will wait a few monthes, then maybe I will pick up a bluray, there are some titles I want. As for the person who doesn't want to upgrade his DVD collection to either format, if you pick up one of the new players with HQV upscaling (Hollywood Quality Video) it will do such an amazing job upscaling that you won't feel left out. I have over 400 DVD's my self, so I feel you pain, but I can't help myself. If you have the right set up, there's nothing like the Site and Sound of perfection.

Do you blame them? Sony made all these promises as far as sales of hardware and software so they have to make the studios happy. We all know they haven't been able to meet those sales figures.
Have they even met the sales figures from the last holiday season for the PS3's yet? Sony is WAY behind and Paramount/Dreamworks jumping ship is only the beginning. If you believe the hype they jumped ship for the money just remember this...no studio would support a format they thought was going to lose, no matter how much money they got paid. While I'm talking about studios getting paid...why do you think Disney and Fox are bluray exclusive?

is funny how some people defend booray with their teeth. like they are getting conpesated or something. the war sucks and is anoying. i too hoped for blue to just strait out win at first. but then i learned the details.
Think out of the box, studio support doesent make either format better, but only proves Sony knew this would happen with their format. so they got the bright idea in order to keep up. they knew their "better format" wasent ready to stand to hd-dvd with their high price, poor performance and bad players.
booray has more space. and im not interested in backing anything up.

I actually just read about blurays "new" PIP. Its the same as it was before where basically they burned the movie twice on the same disk (are you kidding me?). The only difference now is they're doing the PIP at a lower resolution. What a joke.
For the life of me I don't know why people keep supporting bluray. It's one disaster after another.

I have to admit I like the blu cases better than the HD red, but I have an HD DVD player and I love it. If someone gave me a Blu-Ray player, I would definitly use it too but I don't feel like spending 500 bucks just so I can get a few movies in Blu-Ray that I couldn't in HD DVD. I was looking at the titles both formats have and I tend to like the HD DVD studios better anyway. I used to be a fan of Sony when the PS2 was cool, but then one year I got an xbox and realized that the PS2 sucked, the dreamcast was better too but it died. Anywho I'm just against Sony's stuff now it seems.

JSWELL,
You just hit the nail right on the head. Sony WANTS the dvd to become a digital dodo bird. Then they can have their way in the market. It's been their plan all along.
