Hey if any of you are near the Cleveland Ohio area over the Thanksgiving weekend, you can visit the house that was used in the movie A Christmas Story. (www.achristmasstoryhouse.com) It was mostly used for exterior shots, but there were a few scenes filmed in the home. They have an entire weekend planned, with some of the actors on hand to sign autographs. ( no they are not free) If you visit the site I posted, you can get all the scoop on this event. I went last year on Sunday and it was a blast. Thats if you are a BIG fan of the movie like myself
You may ask why post this, well I think it breaks up the manotany of all the HD DVD vs. Blu Ray stuff, so Happy Turkey Day, Merry Christmas and Happy Haunaka!!!!

You are not entirely correct. The exterior shots and the school shots were filmed in Canada. Also the tounge on the pole scenes and the neighborhood scenes. Sorry I am not trying to sound like a know it all, it just came out that way

Yes Bull you are correct and this year in Cleveland, they are going to dedicate the original chalkboard from the school house in Canada. I guess the school was purchased and going to be demolished for whatever reason. So the new owner donated it to be placed in the museaum that sits directly across the street from the house. If you go to the web site, it is actually a pretty good story about the guy who bought the house. But it was a blast last year to see the house totally restored to it's original movie magic beauty.
