WB will wait out until HD DVD pulls ahead of Blur-ray in 2008

Makes sense. It's still too early in the game and although all signs point toward HD DVD having a huge spike in player and movies sales they have to ride it out and see what happens. It would be irresponsible for them to just bail on bluray right before theholidays but hey if Paramount and Dreamworks can do it...
Truth be told HD DVD is the better format in every way BUT until they see sales to back it up they're gonna sit and release to both camps.

No, it's like people enjoying their hobby, Blu-ray or HD DVD, which seems to annoy other folks. It's like some people hate to see other people having fun and must constantly belittle them for it. You'll forgive me if I don't share in the belittlers' joy.

Sorry John .. didn't wanna upset you. No disrespect to anyone. Its just same discussion over and over again, same threads created again. There are other viewers who are looking for something to read or discuss. As my friend Eddie pointed out few months ago.. its all gas.. and fans on both sides are culprits. there has to be a balance. unfortunately there is none.

Ranjan, it's called choice. The threads here at the Message Board are pretty well labeled and self-explanatory. Nobody who is not interested in the format wars has to read about WB dropping HD DVD or Toshiba selling an $89 player. They can skip down to a thread they're interested in or start one of their own.
Not everyone likes stamp collecting or listening to classical music, but that doesn't mean we should eliminate the magazines devoted to the subjects or belittle the people interested in them. People not interested simply don't read the magazines. Same here. I mean, it's not like these hobbists are taking up valuable Message Board space or anything.

Well said.
I like being able to discuss the current news about movies and both formats here with people that are in the know. It's one of the reasons I started posting here after reading your posts for so long. You guys seem to know your stuff, the movies reviews are fantastic, and for the most part people respect each others opinions.
Another thing that I like about this site is you guys are not afraid to post news for BOTH formats so long as its accurate, despite peoples belief this site favors HD DVD. Some posters (myself included) may favor HD DVD but you guys keep it neutral which is good, unlike other sites where they are very obviously in favor of one format or the other.

Oh yeah - BETAMAX rules! - I've got two Sony SuperBeta Hi-Fi VCR's, one working and one non-working. Also, a JVC SuperVHS, and a regular Sony VHS (which I don't use as much these days - you know, analog!)

Like I said I really enjoy the site and you guys do a bang up job. It is in all fun while we do enjoy our hobby. However every once in a while someone will get a little to serious. But 99.9% it is seriously a good time in here.

Look, I'm not out to belittle anyone, but I will make it a point when there's a redundant amount of threads on the same topic. Sometimes it gets confusing because you have to remember which WB-HD thread you were in last. And yes, John is right, all you have to do is look at all those threads on the right and make your choice, so apparently nobody takes notice that there were already a couple threads of the same topic?
Nevertheless, I will make light of it and I only mean it with a SENSE OF HUMOR . . . So get used to it! I'm Timmay, and I'm going to be around a long . . . long time.
