Yep, they are still going to carry the BD discs and the PlayStation. They are only dropping the standalone BD players due to pricing.

It makes sense when you put it all together. The only K-marts I know of are all in "The Hood" part of town which are certainly not full of wealthy people.

This really isn't a surprise. K-Mart usually sells TVs that were last year's models at Sears and they never carry top of the line stuff (TV wise). So it would make sense they would want players that are in the price point they are looking for. Still it does show that the much greater price is starting to become a problem for Blu-Ray players.

Ya know, if all the damn fanboys on the net hadn't assumed and ran with a factually incorrect story (that only Hi Def Digest has bothered to clarify), then this wouldn't be a story. But, AGAIN, the need to be first trumps the need to verify and be correct. Great journalism.
