These are the two movies I want the most. Anyone hear any information on these two titles? BTW the Robin Hood I am referring to is Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner.

"These are the two movies I want the most."
Well, both of these films are currently available in standard definition. Do you mean you want them in high def? If so, you may have to wait a while.
When and if they do arrive in high definition, "Tombstone" will probably only be available in Blu-ray because it's a Disney/Buena Vista product, and "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" will probably be available in both Blu-ray and HD DVD because it's a Warner Bros. release. But neither studio has announced any plans to release either movie in high def yet.

John, I heard somewhere recently [forgot, sorry] that Disney is bringing both TOMBSTONE and CON AIR to Blu-ray in 2008, among others. Of course, we will never know for sure until an official announcement from the studio.

Very probable, Love. "Tombstone" and "Con Air" are among Disney/BV's most popular titles. They should make it to Blu-ray before long. The studio has already issued both of them in high-bit-rate deluxe editions, so the high-def masters are undoubtedly waiting and ready until the studio thinks the timing is right with market penetration.

Speaking of Mel Brooks, and to take this thread as far off course as possible so the Message Board police will get after me, I see that Brooks is bringing "Young Frankenstein" to Broadway as a musical. If so, a few years down the pike we may be seeing a musical film version. Just something to think about or look forward to or regret. Whatever, it's a slow day....

Hey John,
I just picked up the SpEd DVD film version of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN this past Sunday, on sale for $4.99 (at Circuit City). Anamorphic and remastered special edition. Since most Fox Blu-rays are very expensive (highest of all studios), I will buy some of their classics on standard DVD, when on discount sale. Already this year, I've picked up several of their War classics, etc.
I own just two Fox Blu-ray discs [each was $14.99 on sale], Kingdom of Heaven and Alien vs Predator, but have rented several of their others. I liked their comedy Employee of the Month [funny!], and would buy it one day, if on discount sale.
