and most of what you have to say is very formulated, copy paste cookie cutter by nature, pasting the exact same thing comment after comment as if you are going to win people over in a discussion about a HD DVD player. Atleast the other Bluray members discuss things instead of copy and pasting a 50 line post over and over as if it proves anything.

@dguisinger :

Fairly new here myself. I am from the AVS Forums actually but the Blu-Bois got the forums suspended for going crazy.

@bubblebathgirl:

The failure rate on the 360 is irrelevant to anything to do with HD-DVD vs. Blu-Ray. This topic has REALLY derailed. You are starting to show the true face of yourself. Gamespot forums maybe?

Unfortunately you are now onto trolling home video news sites. Is there an underground Sony recruitment facility? Do they pay you guys? They really should.. because to take the time to hi-jack and derail a thread about the total opposite video format is either driven by desperation or a fat paycheck. Phil Harrison.. is that you?

Also
Quoting a Sony/Bluray CEO interview is not proof of anything. Quoting any executive during a press release is nothing more than you being a pawn in a marketing game. Thats like asking Bill Gates if Windows Vista is the best windows ever made. Of course he'd say yes. (Thought I'd use your example)

LOL - the comment about the PS3 and it's low failure rate was to show how it's a very reliable Blu-ray player.

dguisinger, if you actually took the time to read what I wrote you would see that NONE of it is copy and paste aside from links that I have referenced to support my claims with facts.

The point to all of this here anyways is that Blu-ray is currently winning in spite of a 90k (supposed) sale by HD DVD.

Wow are you ever combative. I'm just speaking from personal experience. If you bothered to read my post I said I'M NOT SAYING it's Indicative of larger trends. How exactly would I have provided evidence? Video Tape People? LMAO.

Movielover, of course you can give your personal view, however, if you are giving claims of an experiment you performed comparing things then you will need to provide proof of what you came up with (such as photos showing the results) ... as you are a stranger there is no way I can take your word for what you say and would ultimately need evidence to believe you).

Honestly, you can't prove anything. There is no answer to who is winning the format war. It's such a small market, one sales spike can change the balance drastically. This topic is about the $99 hd-dvd players and how fast they were adopted. This switches momentum over to HD-DVD for the time being.. No, there is no link for that.. it's common sense. HD-DVD came out swinging and gained TONS of new users. It doesn't mean their winning, it means the race just got a whole lot more competitive. The news is that J6P (joe 6 pack) just got in the game for the first time since the price reached all new demographics. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here. And no bubblebath, I don't need links to say that.
