John, thanks for your quick response to this, and for doing what you can to help make sure this discussion stays decent for all of us.

Also thanks for the link to DVDEMPIRE, I can see from that that Blu-ray is ahead 61.56% to 38.44%:

This seems to be about the same as the stats on the site I listed earlier: http://www.blu-raystats.com/percentages.php

So from these two sites and the countless other news articles the 2:1 ratio looks correct.

Thanks for insight Puccio. Would you kindly also report bubblebath for excessive trolling? It's getting out of hand.

"Also thanks for the link to DVDEMPIRE, I can see from that that Blu-ray is ahead 61.56% to 38.44%" --bubblebathgirl

Please note that the 61.56% to 38.44% percentages in Blu-ray's favor are for the year so far. For the past two weeks the percentages have been 52% to 48% in favor of HD DVD.

As I say, it is very easy to use statistics any way you choose. Just try to remain calm and enjoy your format of choice.

Sure thing John, I see that as well (you mean the last 1 week though right? Week of Nov. 06th it was 52.21% to 47.79% but week of Oct. 30th it was 36.13% to 63.87%). I'll definitely be keeping that link bookmarked and checking back on it to see how this thing progresses!

No, I meant last week, where the numbers for the last few days of October were almost the same as they are this week. For those interested, you can view the entire format war at DVD Empire since its inception and follow the trends as they developed:

I totally agree with Cellien, bubbles was trolling, if you are going to report me for tellin her to shut her trap, then report her for trolling.

I personally have no appologizes for what I said, she's acting like a propaganda machine, I made no threats but was more than happy to point out that she was being a propaganda machine much like different governments have had. If she's offended, oh well, she offended alot of people. I personally don't care if others were offended because I in no way endorsed anything with the holocaust and just used it as an example of her denial of any information anyone else was willing to add to conversations.

This is not a conversion forum, this is a forum for peaceful discussion about the technologies. This was a HD DVD news story, there is no need for countless conversion posts as she has posted. If she doesn't like hearing that HD DVD is doing well, she doesnt have to post. I don't go around Bluray articles bashing anyone who says a positive thing about Bluray telling them they are liers or once they post URLs that every URL or source they have is not trustworthy. Infact so far I have gotten along quite well with everyone else, including Tim.

As Baghdad Bubbles would say:

BluRay is winning, we have destroyed the HDDVD army, they are in retreat. There is no HD DVD player within 100 miles of Baghdad. (Actually, that might be true, LOL)

alright, back to the merits of the news.....

Wow, the Blu-Ray acolytes and Sony plants (it could not be more obvious) on here are really making me want to trade in my PS3 and go out and buy an HD DVD player.

Seriously, shut up already.

I have never seen a more insufferable group of fanboys than the ones (on BOTH sides) involved in this format war. Good lord.

In all the years I have spent in front of a computer screen, and in all the years I have spent surfing the internet, I have never seen such immature, derogatory, venomous, disgusting, anal, statistic twisting, psuedo-scientific, rambling, pointless claptrap as I have seen since this whole high definition format war started.

And boring. This used to be a great foum until bubbles and blu canada and gang showed up. Now it's no different from any of the other BD dominated electronic rags out there. Apparently a couple of the new posters have HOURS of time on their hands with unlimited electronic and print resources at their disposal to enable them to roll out this propaganda on a non stop basis. This has been going on day and night for the past two or three days, since the Toshiba campaign began. Don't you BD folks ever sleep? I had over 40 "no_repy" messages on my Blackberry when I woke up this morning, mostly on this one thread. It makes one wonder who these people really are. I don't have time for this crap. Bye.
