bubblebathgirl yes they are selling more disks to a smaller population.
The problem is if you make disks for a movie comany and you had the choice to sell to a group of people that had 100,000 standalone player or a group of people that has a million players which would you pick.

jackfrost, how is this a problem for Blu-ray? ... they have millions more Blu-ray capable players in users hands right now then HD DVD does.

That's why more Blu-ray media is being sold ... duh!

Plus more MAJOR studios support Blu-ray ... if I was a disc maker I'd go where the best support is ... and that's Blu-ray. I mean it should say something to you that Apple is on the Blu-ray board of directors. Apple goes where smart technology lives.

Are you considering PS3 as bluray players?
Once again tech is not smart most people dont own Apple Computers Most People dont own HD players of any nature. Sony also bought studios just like HDDVD camp. once again this is just sumantics. Last year Vizo crushed the competition with a cheaper product they forced the cost of tvs down.. this can happen in any camp.

Its all about marketability if you follow you logic The XBOX 360 is dominating the third gen market they average 8 to 15 sales per unit...... But in my oppinion Nintendo is winning.

Bubblebath, BluCanada,

Understand, I am not trying to take sides here. I am not promoting blu-ray or HD DVD, and the site reviews both formats as fairly as possible. But I think our readers should know when they are dealing with PR reps. We probably have HD DVD shills at the site, too, but none of them has been so blatantly obvious as you two.

I no longer care what they write, they look absolutely rediculous and they are keeping the 90,000 sold headline at the top of the list so its doing more good for the HD-DVD marketing
