John, you keep on making accusations of me that are unfounded. Moreover, I have given you more then enough ability to contact me and find out whatever you want to know in order to prove I don't work for Sony.

The reason why DVD Empire doesn't use the current week is because that week is changing. As it did when we chatted about it ... and as I pointed that fact out to you.

dguisinger: It literally took about 5-10 minutes with Google. I got tired of bubblebath saying no one ever presents proof, so I compiled this list to post every time he/she/it reposts the same links over and over.

Puccio: Thanks for the heads up. I apologize for being so diligent in my posting towards bubblebathgirl's comments, but trolls have to be controled. My long LIST-O-LINK-AND-STATS is my way of combating his/her/it's obsessive trolling.

bubblebathgirl:

So you were just trying to prove DVDTOWN was HD-DVD biased? How does you getting banned for excessive trolling prove that? You lose.

Lame. Go back to bluray.com, your unbiased forum. I hear they have a paycheck waiting for you.. it consists of all the Bambie Disney Blu-Rayz you'll ever need!

csjlong: That is the perfect thread stopper! Hopefully no one else will post and we will see that picture at the end of this discussion FOREVER!

Keep being angry Cellien ... it'll get you far in life.

I'm going to bed now. Have fun posting stuff about me while I'm gone - cause I'm that important to you.

Per the topic of this thread, if 90k units were actually sold, only the next weeks and months will show us if that had any impact at all.

Currently, it has not, as this chart illustrates Blu-ray had a 71% market share of the week ending November 4th, 2007:

Oh, and I've turned off "Monitor Messageboard on discussions I join" in my preferences so I won't be getting emails about this thread. So, again, please talk about me ... I really want you to. Say bad things about me ... say how great you think HD DVD is .... it will be awesome ... and I won't even respond ... for now.

Wow, someone's a little worried about people posting while they can't respond.

But hey, told you once.... and I'll tell you again.. You continue to troll and continue to repost your crap, and you will get this:

Bubblebath:

Is that links you're posting over again? Still here trolling? Well you asked for it!

Since you repost the same crap over and over.. I will start to do the same.

Sony CEO sees 'stalemate' in disc fight

The head of Sony Corp., Howard Stringer, said Thursday that the Blu-ray disc format the company has developed as the successor to the DVD is in a "stalemate" with the competing HD DVD format, chiefly backed by Toshiba Corp. and Microsoft Corp.

"It's a difficult fight," said Stringer

Transformers outsells Spiderman 3 on HD and DVD

The numbers are finally in for Spiderman 3 on Blu-Ray and DVD and both have fallen short of Transformers. Spiderman 3 was the best selling Blu-Ray title to date, selling 130,000 copies within the first six days. However, Transformers managed to sell 190,000 on HD DVD. This number has been disputed by Blu-Ray fanatics, but with no proof to back it up and Paramount states that they have rechecked their numbers and got the same results. On DVD Spiderman 3 managed to get somewhere between 4-5 million, (Sony seemed a little more reluctant to reveal this number), where Transformers sold 8.3 million.

Thx Hendrix for one of the links.

I'll just continue to add to this and repost it whenever bubblebath continues to troll and regurgitate same ole stats and links. You wanted links bubblebath.

John: I'd rather do things (like think) for myself rather than be talked into something by a salesperson.

John, if it were the case that bbgirl were a salesperson for BR, she'd be the worst kind. With all of the tripe I've been weeding through, she's done nothing but turn me off to blu-ray. I don't think I've read one personal testimonial from her as to why BR is such a great product. She comes off more like a lemming than anything else. There are no guarantees that any one format is going to win any time soon. Clearly, from the comments made by the Sony CEO, this battle is just heating up. I for one would gladly pay less for hi-def dvd, a point I'm sure I share with the general public. We all want more for less. In the end economics will be the deciding factor, not Spielberg or Disney, who all want a piece of every pie, eventually.

There's a saying that goes around chat forums, "don't feed the trolls." In other words, if you want to really control a troll you simply stop responding to them and ignore them when they try and post anywhere else. I know it's hard for some of you because the real battle isn't the topic itself, it's who's going to get the last word in! My suggestion, let the troll have the last word and don't respond whatsoever! End it already! Trust me, it's much more frustrating, and you'll do more damage, to a troll that gets no feedback. Trolls squirm in agony when they're ignored and it's far more damaging than what you're all doing now.

You've all made your points very clear for the past 43 pages, end it already!

And that's coming from a true troll, so he should know.

I know you hate new threads on related topics, Tim, but I'm going to start one anyway around some explanations for high players sales, and not high disc sales. If that was covered somewhere in here, amongst all the troll-bashing, I apologize, but this thread is way too long to be manageable now.
