Yes, we've all seen the ridiculously low prices the internet has for LCDs...but can we trust them?

I got a Panasonic LCD from 6ave.com
Came through with no problems and it works great 2+ years later.

First rule - NEVER buy from an internet source that is NOT an AUTHORIZED DEALER, as some manufacturers will not honor the warranty, since some internet dealers buy inventory from "grey" market areas of the world, and/or third party suppliers (instead of direct from the manufacturer).
Also, you can check customer feedback who have bought thru online vendors at RESELLER RATINGS - www.resellerratings.com
Note: avoid the positive comments (which can be left from company shills, and instead read any of the negative reviews).
Note #2: Make sure you are aware of the vendor's return policy (if any), as some will not accept any returns for any reason (unless damaged, which must be verified from the shipping service), so in some cases you run the risk of receiving an item you must accept (no return) - essentially some of these vendors are just processing orders and assuming the role of "drop shipping" a product.
I've seen many people over the last few years recommend these online vendors (for service, prices etc)...
www.vanns.com
www.abtelectronics.com
www.newegg.com
www.onecall.com
www.fatwallet.com
www.costco.com
www.samsclub.com
www.amazon.com
Note #3: In some cases (for peace of mind), you might want to order direct from the manufacturer's online store. Prices will be somewhat higher, but they can offer more service on delivery and installation, returns, repairs, warranty (and a TV loaner while yours is being serviced) etc, known as special "CONCIERGE" (owner satisfaction) service, available on sites such as Panasonic.com, Sharpusa.com, etc. FYI: for Sony's online store, visit sonystyle.com
