Lets just hold it a minute. Loads of places sale consoles. Amazon is just one of them. Lets face it these sales figures only make up a tiny part of the big picture.

Sad bubblebath girl. I thought you could do better than amazon. Maybe show the the whole market share in America? Why don't you point out the that PS3 outsell the XBox 360 in Japan too. You are slowly showing the face of the pathetic PS3. Keep up the good work. How many games do you own?

I am not refuting the fact that in amazon on that date is not true. I just think any preson advancing their cause should do better than that. It is a pathetic respose to this messageboard's topic:
http://www.dvdtown.com/messageboard/topic/5111/10/0
And let us clarify one thing, I can refute the poster on what they state. This is not a personal attack on who they are in real life. I did not call that poster a name. I said that the respose was sad and pathetic. And an FYI we both might have to look out for the Wii this year, but as Xbox 360 and the PS3, we are still in the lead.

This now is officially the first anniversary of PS3's release date in North America (17th). People died. And the cheapest a normal person could get it was on eBay for $1,500 and up throughout the Christmas season. It's a little freaky thinking that was just exactly one year ago. People camping out for days in the cold until that 1 minute after midnight hour... and most leaving empty handed.
If Sony's supply can meet the demand, I think they'll do a bit better this season than last. And hopefully no one dies.

Wow, Bubblebath girl did Sony give you your own office to just go to forums and tout their product? Come on I work for a retailer and the 360 outsells the PS3 10:1. Besides Sony losses money everytime a PS3 is sold. How can they sell a gaming unit and Blu ray player for far less than a stand alone Blu ray, must piss off the other manufacturers who are trying to make money on their product.

Since this really has nothing to do specifically with high definition movies couldn't this be considered trolling?
And bubble I think I understand now why you continue to posts these type of comments. You're obviously affiliated with Sony or the BDA in some shape or form. Nothing wrong with that. Just add a disclaimer before you write a topic so people won't think you are posting just to stir things up.

chemteam,
Bubble has been behaving himself recently. It's when somebody posts the same links or the same stats too often in multiple threads that we on the staff get concerned about possible trolling or shilling. If you don't like the thread, refute it or ignore it. If the thread had posted a link to encouraging HD DVD stats, would any HD DVD fan be miffed? I think not. We're just trying to be fair here.

Recent Report from Home Media magazine [11/15/07]...
~ PlayStation 3 Price Cut Boosts Sales ~
Sony Corp. CEO Howard Stringer said the company sold more than 100,000 PlayStation 3 consoles in the week of Nov. 11 after implementing price cuts and introduction of a cheaper model Oct. 18, The Associated Press reported.
The PS3, which includes a Blu-ray Disc drive, has seen sluggish sales and stiff competition from Nintendo Co.’s popular Wii since launching a year ago. Last month Sony cut $100 from the 80GB PS3 while introducing a 40GB unit for $400.
The move apparently worked as weekly console sales jumped from 30,000 to 40,000 units to 75,000 units for the week of Oct. 29.
With Nintendo reportedly having difficulty stocking the Wii through the holidays, Stringer sees the PS3 filling the void.
“It’s the breakthrough we’ve been anticipating,” Stringer told The AP. “We’ve been holding our breath.” [END]
