I must say I truely enjoy this site. Like I've said in other post, I am a Blu ray supporter. To join a forum that's pro HDDVD, I expected you guys would be fanantics and radicals about HDDVD to a harsh level but this was not the case, I've always respected and tried to understand your format decision with tactful and logical POVs just as you have done with me. So thanks Henning for your HDDVD wisdom, Tim for your sense of picture humor, and John for....I don't know and the countless others that let me post here and not letting any topic get out of control, and letting a True Blu speak in a ocean of red.

Tony theres nothing wrong with you saying you like one format over the other as long as you don't try to spread lies or misinformation in order to sway people to believe it. The only reason I'm saying this is because in the last couple of weeks we have had people join this forum who are obviously pro bluray, and again theres nothing wrong with that except for the fact they almost seem to be sent by the bluray camp to come in here and spread lies to make people believe HD DVD is inferior when it's not.
This forum has been excellent for talking about movies, high definition, etc. As long as we respect peoples opinions it's all good (ok I sound liek I work for this site but I don't

Thank you for the compliment to site, if not to me. It is true that DVDTOWN's message board seems to have more HD DVD supporters than Blu-ray supporters, but that was never the intent of site itself. We remain neutral (despite occasional criticisms of both sides from the staff), and we have actually reviewed more Blu-ray titles than HD DVD titles. You can check that in the reviews database.
However, because we were among the very first sites to cover the high-definition medium with disc and hardware reviews, and because HD DVD came out months ahead of Blu-ray, the site quite naturally attracted a number of HD DVD followers, who have remained with us. Since our Blu-ray reviews get just as many hits as our HD DVD reviews, I can only assume that the site has many Blu-ray supporters who simply do not post at the message board. We encourage them to do so.
