I want to post on eBay for top dollar. I don't want to sound like a rip off artist that's trying to pass along my defunked HD-DVD stuff, but I want to try and recoup as much as possible.

Hey, he's right. The HD-DVD Forum has closed their site. I guess this is it.

I have no problem with Toshiba, and am about to buy another HD-DVD player

Good! I guess the quicker they sell out of the stock, the quicker it will be all Blu. Then I don't have to be reminded what a moron I was for buying this stuff.

Blu-Ray - 14 and counting

HD-DVD - Minus $2600!!!

sux for me!

Well at least give Hendrix and I the eBay number, so that we can bid against each other. That darn Hendrix!

Oh God! It gets worse!!!!!!!!!

Wal-Mart puts stake through HD DVD's heart

Things have gone from bad to worse for HD DVD in the space of one week.
Wal-Mart Stores announced on Friday morning that it, too, has chosen a side in the battle for high-definition video supremacy: by June, it will stock only Blu-ray Disc players.

Skyhawk... LOL

Some people may think we collectors are BS them, but as I've said before - I DON'T DUMP FORMATS. I'm a pure collector, and will buy another HD-DVD player soon (to be my main player), and acquire more of the discs. Can't wait to see the native 1080p/24 signal from my HD-DVDs, as my A1 is only 1080i/60hz (very good), but 1080p/24 is better. PS3 has that option too, of course.

Isn't it ironic that the current state of HD DVD is partly due to early adopters panicking at bad news and selling their collections on ebay and switching their purchasing to blu-ray, or stopping their purchasing altogether after the Warner news.

My only complaint with my Toshibas is that they do not play VCD, Ultra Divx, or my Terminator 2 extreme edition WMV disk. I know, I know, ps3 supports some of these. I will not sell my HD DVDs, I have to admit though that I gave away my laserdisk collection during a recent move.

I work in the industry. I told the_dvd_chef that Warner was going Blu in Novemeber.

Then I posted that Paramount's Dup plant was printing Blu's 3 days ago. Last month I posted on Blu.com, HD-DVD.com & DVDTOWN.com that Best Buy & Circuit (didn't announce yet) was going blu.

Now, one last time: on or around May 1st Paramount announcement w/ summer release dates (maybe a few scattered in spring. Not sure.)

I do have to say though, I didn't know about the Wal-Mart thing. That was a cool surprise.

Bad for the BOGO but I'd rather have just one format. Sorry.

What can I say Super? You were right. You did post it. The_Chef knew you had inside info back when it happened. I wish I would have listened to you. I would be ahead of the game right now if I did.

I can be a man and admit when another was right and I was wrong.
