Hey Superdick,

I bought a PS3 yesterday and let me tell you, the HD-DVD is the better format. SO far the movies I have watched in BR have shown me nothing in clarity or something spectacular. I have seen HD-DVD release that outshine BR release and I am watching Superman Returns right now on both formats and I am not friggin impressed. Again the BR transfer has more grain, and it is not my TV or the HDMI connections as I not only put on two new cables, i even switched the ports to see if it was a port problem.

So take your BR praise and shove it up your ass, as of right now I consider the format total shit, and I am sorry i wasted my money. In fact I am going to pack this bastard up tonight and return it to the store, then take my credit and go buy HD-DVD movies with it.

Also, if yo actually read the friggin article you would have seen it came from WB, who in fact LIED to the public. So go shill your Sony Blu-Ray bullshit elsewhere... scumbag.

I-and I'm sure others here-would REALLY REALLY appreciate it if the personal tit-and-tat like this could stop. There is absolutely no reason for insults like the ones I quoted. Using language like that does not bolster any opinion.

i AGREE, DJFMG fell for his posts hook, line and sinker, and sank to HIS level. I have both formats, and can't see a difference between them, in only that HDDVD has a better menu and content look, other than that, the PQ imo, is the same.To bad they don't have the studio support.

On another note XBOX just called me and let me know that after 3 months, I will be getting a NEW XBOX from them scheduled for delivery tomorrow from FED EX. I sent it to them in November for a problem with not recognizing games, only dvd's and am just getting it back, what a nightmare this whole thing was, I bet I would have bought MORE HDDVD's had I had my XBOX, instead of BR on my PS3.

Listen everyone, I'm as upset as the next HD-DVD guy that studios are dropping a better quality product in favor of fast monetary gain. Especially since they use the consumer as their reason for choosing BD. Unfortunately, insulting inmature BD supporters who are waiving in our faces the spoils of an inminent victory will not stop the wheels of defeat from turning.

So what we need to do as true HD-DVD supporters (an consumers overall), and again this is only my own humble opinion, is to keep on buying our favorite HD-DVD movies until the HD-DVD camp stops producing them, show real class and keep our heads high in this inminent time of defeat, and buy only DVD's and play them on our upconverting HD-DVD players because they are as good as any BD movies out there.

This way we'll show the corporate establishment of Hollywood what the consumer really wants. Turst me, if people sticks with DVD's over BD, we can still win the REAL DVD war. We as consumers faced out Laser Disks once and we can do it again.

I agree. If M$ would have put an HD-DVD drive in the 360, Blu-ray would have NEVER won. That is a fact.

TOTALLY agree w/you there!! I could not understand why the ELITE did NOT have an HDDVD drive in it, so maybe M$ made them lose I would have to say!!! Damn Bill Gates!

The simple fact is that if MS put an HD-DVD drive in the Elite it would have ran the cost up to around the price of a PS3. And that's exactly what they DO NOT want to do.

Mike I hear you, BUT I also think it woulda gave the edge to HDDVD, I bought the add on from Sam's Club for 159.99 with King Kong, and all I bought at first were HDDVD's, my XB broke, I send it off, got pissed and my wife got me a PS3, and we have been BR ever since that, and also the fact that SHE likes the cases they come in. I am just saying would that have never happened I would have never went to the Blu side to begin with, who knows how many more stories like that are out there???

A few of people keep bringing up this argument, does anybody have a copy of this so called contract?
I'd like to see it.
