Red4EVER, you can still buy an HD DVD player for the other two of your rooms rather cheaply to say the least.

Do you understand yet or should I keep explaining why I'm pissed?

Why don't you calm down first of all.

Second, you had to know this was coming when you bought your players and set up your house. I'm not a fanboy, but BD sold more discs every week last year. BD has had more studio support all last year. BD were cheaper...all last year. How much more writing did you need on the wall, quite frankly?

I'm not even answering this comment. I'm eBaying my stuff.

Toshiba will release a dual-format player, probably better than any blu player out there. Your movies will still work. Watch them and enjoy. If they don't release a dual-format player then there is some serious bribing or blackmailing going on and some government authority should step in.

When you come out with a moronic comment like "it's not going to implode" it pisses me off even more. I would much rather it have imploded. It might as well have. It's useless now. The retailers are pretty much disconntinuing it for Paramount and Universal.

Paramount and Universal can't make up their minds so the retailers are doing it for them. They're saying, we won't sell it. I must say, Microsoft and Toshiba are D-Heads. I will never buy another M$ or Toshiba product again.

Apparently you don't like rational debate. I'll be enjoying my PS3 and HD A3 player while you're pissed off. No skin off my nose.

Before you do... what you got? And how much would you charge to ship standard USPS ground to Canada?

I'm not buying a duel player. I'm buying another PS3 and I'm throwing my HD-DVD stuff on eBay. I'm cutting my losses. This was a joke for us consumers. M$ should get their head out of their A**.

They want to beat Sony, they want to beat Playstation. Well they still can't, not even at the consumer's expense. It's over! M$ is a waste. They can take their Video Game pipe dreams and jump off a bridge for all I care.

I have no problem with Toshiba, and am about to buy another HD-DVD player (I only have the A1), probably the A35, to become my main HD-DVD/Upconverted DVD player, and move the A1 to 'reserve' status. Looking to buy before the end of February (DVDTOWN link no doubt), as I'm frankly worried (about current reports) that perhaps once the Toshiba stock is sold out, the company may not produce anymore HD-DVD players, and only DVD and Blu-ray... based on some speculations here on the msgbd.

Update: what I wrote above is NOT a joke (I'm serious), as I have around 55 HD-DVDs (purchase several more the last few days from online sales), and will buy more from those liquidated their titles. I want to have a great player to enjoy these HD-DVD discs for years to come.

Red4EVER, I was serious. Please reply with your make of HD DVD player (hoping for an XA2!) and a list of movies you're dumping. Let me know how much you're looking for, and perhaps we can negotiate a quick transaction.
