Edit: BTW, if anyone has recommendations on really good Wii games suitable for an 11 year old girl, I'd love to hear them.

Edit:

Well so far my 8 year old loves mario party for the wii, also mario galaxy is a really cool game, wii play is good to it comes with 8 games and u get a free controller with the game i think that was the first game i bought her.
My favorite game was the one it came with, wii sports!( lots of fun), everytime we have people over everyone seems to want to play that one, i love the bowling game that wii sports comes with.

Oh yes it does JServo, Because 3rd party software companies had and entire year with the 360, by the time PS3 came out all the games for PS3 (except very few exclusives) were ported from 360 and that represented about half of 360 3rd party library. Sony's mistake was letting the 50 gig Blu ray disc and drive hold them back. Like I said Microsoft was going to go Blu but the BDA dropped the ball and delayed the launch of Blu ray until the 50 gig disc was ready. Microsoft did to Sony what Sony did to Toshiba and that's line their ducks up in a row.

Didn't the 360 have a year head start over PS3? I do remember reading that somewhere. Like I said before the only wonder machine is the Wii.

Tony, first the good news:

What the article fails to mention is that the PS3's month percentage increase in sales compared to the prior were much, much greater than any of the other console platforms. So the price reduction is likely the major contributer to this.

The bad news is that the PS3 sales for this November lag slightly behind the XBox 360's sales from the November a year ago (unfortunately I have no hard data to back this up - just repeating what I read elsewhere). I suspect this has to do with relative pricing, since you have no choice but to buy the included Blu-ray player with the PS3 and lets face it... at least in the short term most kids with their players hooked up to standard TVs won't have much use for it in their rooms.

Thanks Scionguy05! I'll be sure to check for those ones, since we're not finished our Christmas shopping yet. Secretly, I can't wait to try it myself. But don't tell anyone...

Richiro33,

I asked this question to everyone who has said that 360 is better. How many have you owned?

Hey Tony, our son likes that Halo stuff. I've never tried it, but if it's anything like half Life 2 on the PC, it must be good. Besides, it makes sense that the most popular game in America should be one that enables you to pretend to kill people randomly that you've never met! *kidding*

I actually like those first person shooters to be honest. Just never tried the Halo one.

Skyhawk,

My son has a 360 and loves FPS's, me I get motion sickness from them after about a 1/2 hour.I looked it up on the net and found that alot of people are prone to motion sickness from FPS's. He jokes me alot about it. When he bought Halo 3, I was fine just watching him play. By the way Halo 3 is a nice game, but I could never play it or any FPS's for that matter.

My first FPS was "Wolfenstein 3D". Gosh I loved that game in its day.
