Even a bigger dissappointment than 300 ...

Even the technology (3D), still has a lot to develop, it is still not at its best.

EDIT: But the animation was actually very good.

I was wondering myself if this movie was any good. I have yet to hear any positive reviews aside from people saying the animation is good but that doesn't make a movie.

For me, it was kinda of exciting for watching this 3D movie that sounded a lot like 300 but better (oh, and I paid $11/person).

The animation is really good, the 3D is not, regardless of whatever Spielberg or Cameron or Lucas would tell you, a good 3D effect is years, far from being enjoyable. However, there is a preview for a 'sewing' movie and that, was awesome, it was the 3D highlight of the whole movie (yes, a preview), but only for that movie, not for Voyage to the center of Earth (?), oh, and that U2 promo, was also good, but only good.

As for the movie? It is a PG-13 Beowulf!!! There is gore, yes, deaths, yes...but again, think the PG-13 Robocop...The story is regular, nothing out of this world. The ending is astonishingly horrible, unexpected, but not making any sense (for me at least).

But, you have to realize that I didn't like 300 (just after watching 300, we got to watch Wild Hogs, and that was way better entertaining), but I was really excited about this movie. It let me down, specially when on one scene you see Beowulf young, and just a second after, he is old. No battles? No more gore? No more glory?

I'm not a pro reviewer, but you get my idea...

Robocop's first cut was NC-17 and had to be "de-gored" enough for an R-rating.

No, think the awfulness of Robocop 3, a PG-13 version of Robocop...

Oh, dear.

But, more important, what's a "'sewing movie"? I picture people with needles and thread darning socks in 3-D.

Hmmm. Darning socks. Is that the PG-rated version of damning socks?

Your sarcasm is better than anybody else in this site ...

And as much as many of you all love 300, it was a big dissappointment (for me) and again, the ending was horrorible!

As for the 'sewing movie', it was just a needle and a button, and the needle stuck out in 3D, it looked awesome that was the highlight of the evening...did anybody else see this preview???
