Dang. From the headlights, that thing looks like a modified Nissan 350Z.

John here is the car...

The Twin Supercharged 4.7 liter V8 Koenigsegg CCX will be unveiled at a VIP Cocktail Party on August 27, 2006 at 7 p.m., followed by two days of Track Day/Test Drives at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, August 28-29.

Koenigsegg Automotive AB of Sweden named Exotic Cars at Caesars Palace to be the first and only dealer in the United States to sell its exclusive Super Cars. The powerful engine housed in the U.S. Koenigsegg CCX retains the incredible power and performance of the European CCR engine, officially crowned by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's fastest production car ever. The engineering marvel goes 0-60 MPH in a blistering 3.1 seconds with an estimated top speed of almost 260 MPH. The 806 HP, 2,200-pound carbon fibre Super Car runs the standing quarter mile in just 9 seconds at 146 MPH.

Yeah, I'm teasing. I saw the car in one of "Road & Track's" quickie glances a few months ago. I'm anxious to see the magazine test drive one and find out how it stacks up against the new Bugatti Veyron 16.4, with its 1000 hp engine, which "R&T" clocked at 2.6 sec. in 0-60 time runs and a 253 mph top speed.

I saw a special on TV about that new Bugatti. It has something like 14 radiators! LOL

Pretty sweet though.

I thought the New Kitt was going to be a Shelby GT500.

I was going to say, that sure doesn't look like a modified Trans-Am. Rightfully so since Pontiac doesn't make the Trans-Am anymore, it's only fitting a new car was in order. However, with the reintroduction of the Camero in 2009, you never know, it just might get Pontiac to bring its competitor back.

Here's another Koenigsegg. Pretty sweet. I had no idea this company made cars until today. Wow am I ever a fan now Didn't Koenig make rims or shocks before? They must have done well.

That Shelby is pretty sweet also. I don't see the red scrolling light on the front though. I'm just glad it's not the Trans Am anymore
