Yeah this looks fantastic. I really loved the First Hellboy and was glad to see it did well on DVD. I have a question. The first Hellboy was distributed by Sony/Tristar. Yet this one is distributed but Universal? Is there a reason for this?

Yes, I noticed the Universal thing as well? Not normal for a sequel. What happened?

Everything except for the last creature was excellent!!! Looking forward to this one...

The best thing going for this film, is RETAINING the director. I hope we get an influential taste from his previous masterwork: Pan's Labyrinth - rubbed into this film.

Unfortunately this movie will be going against Dark Knight...and for obvious reasons, most people will fill the theatres to see Batman rather than the red big thing Hellboy...I will watch Hellboy first, then DK...

Yeah, but although Hellboy looks semi-cool, The Dark Knight looks awesome.

the reason is after the first one didnt do to well in the box office sony didnt feel like backing the second one so they dropped out. the del toro shopped it around town and universal bought it. that all.

as for me im greatly looking forward to this. have been since it was announced. will be one of the few films that actually get me to go to the crappy theaters around here.

I really can't wait for this movie! One thing that I have noticed is that everyone on every forum I go to... really can't wait for it... and is really looking forward to it. This makes me happy.

I thought the first movie was awesome. I remember the sound was intense. I am glad they did part 2. Very cool!

I can only imagine it had to be hard to shop the new movie around. the first Hellboy never did the boxoffice sales it really deserved, yet it picked up a positive response from the critics:

Even the reviews here at DVDTOWN are very high for the first film. Nevertheless, and for some odd reason, the first film is so over looked. Even when I think about a top-ten list of my favorite comicbook films, I tend to forget about Hellboy. I don't know why that is because it really is an entertaining movie for its genre. Oh, well, hopefully the new film will spark people's attention this time.

Hellboy is a very likeable character, a funny smartass who is just open and says whatever he wants, that kind of stuff, kinda like a normal red looking human, who grows horns and has a weird looking hand, you get it...Superman (my favorite superhero) is a 'boy scout' Batman is a lonely weird rich guy Hulk is a bipolar well, you get my idea on why most of us like the movie, for the actual Hellboy...
