All right, Tony, what I want to know is how'd you do it? How'd you get a picture of my old classroom?

Panasonic will introduce the world's thinnest laptop Blu-ray drive.
http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=786

1. HD DVD will introduce a player that won’t freeze and require a firmware update before using. Nope that’s not gonna happen.

2. HD DVD will introduce a player that can play rental discs with scratches. Nope that’s not gonna happen.

3. Bill Gates will deliver a keynote and apologize to Sony and the entire electronics community for trying to introduce a format that has zero industry support.

wow, that is the stupidest thing i've ever heard. Once again you come on here to spread whatever bullshit you can invent.

1) I've never had a HD DVD player freeze. I've had bad discs stop playback, but only two out of 40+ movies. and funny, last i heard samsung's Bluray players have ALOT of problems

2) Hmm, the only reason bluray has that extra layer of protection is their discs are more easily damaged with the data layer closer to the disc surface...HD DVD doesn't even need it.

3) Man, pull your head out of your ass... HD DVD was out first, HD DVD was created by the DVD people, Sony pulled away and created their own format and released it AFTERWARDS and incomplete...hence Profile 1.1 and 2.0 coming A FULL YEAR OR MORE after bluray hit the market.

sumlikeitnot,

It's one thing to argue for your preferred format and even point out flaws in the opposing format. It's quite another thing to post a meaningless, hate-filled message attacking the opposition without rhyme or reason. Clearly, your post was meant only to provoke anger and start a fight. That's not what we're about. Please read the rules of posting below. Thanks.

is it just me or are the vast majority of posts made by bd fanboys just plain childish?
or have these bd fans suddenly begun to realise they have made a bad choice in blindly following other bs seeders and having bought a now obsolete standalone player, they feel embarressed to admit that they were wrong, or perhaps duped into thinking bd is the dogs danglies, only to now see the light and feel the need to lash out at the hd dvd camp through jealousy, where the format has worked right from the word go, set the standard for picture quality first, and doesnt need a hardware upgrade when someone in the bd camp changes there mind about functionality?

im sure a bd fanboy will have some "Smart", "fact filled" info for us all, perhaps even a whitty put down?.........
bd = yawn

Tummy,

Lashing out in retaliation in equal measures of hatred is not the answer, either. This senseless format war has made enemies of people who should be glad to share their love of movies instead of arguing about which format is better or which one has the better ad slogans or the worst propaganda.
