Halo is a horrible game in YOUR opinion. That's fine. 10 million of us disagree.
I wasn't the one to compare them in the first place...that would be your buddy tanod.
Uncharted is completely original? SERIOUSLY?! Lets make a game with a private treasure hunter...hmmmm...never saw that one before. I'm surprised they didn't call it "The National Treasure of Indiana Croft".
Like it or not the Halo franchise is a force to be reckoned with. I have had more fun playing those games then many others I've played since I've had a Sega Master System. Personally I think Half-Life 2 is better, but Halo is a blast.
I'm not angry that you disagree. I'm debating the choice to compare it to a game that will hardly be remembered in the history of gaming. Uncharted's sales don't even compare to Gears of War let alone Halo. Again... between the two games the consumer has chosen Halo. 'Nuff said.

Throughout 2007 was the PS3's first year. Did the 360 have ANY killer apps in its first year - 2006? No.
I don't remember saying 2007 would be a great year for the PS3, but it did have some decent games during the summer, HS/Motorstorm/etc, but it did pick up towards the end of the year with Uncharted/Warhawk/UT3/COD4/AC/R&C/NGS/etc.
Now, please wait for proven franchises that have sold millions to come out in 08.
GTA4/DMC4/Burnout - born and raised on the playstation brand.
FF13/FF13versus/MGS4/KZ2/LBP/MS2/GOW3/GT5+prologue/SingStar/Haze/Home/Tekken6/Resistance2/SOC/Yakuza3/etc
Btw, obviously multiplat games will sell more on the 360, considering its higher install base - but if you look at the ratio of sold/install - it's the same. And COD4/AC/PES08 have all sold 1 million+ on PS3. Resistance/Motorstorm have sold 2 million+
If you honestly think the PS3 does not have a great 2008 lineup, you're in denial. But, let me guess - you're from the UK? 360's last stand in Europe. The PS3 hasn't even been out for 1 year in Europe and it is almost caught up to the install base of the 360's 2 year sales in Europe.

One could argue that Oblivion was a killer app in the 360's first year. I don't have any stats on it, but everyone I knew who bought a 360 at launch got it and played the crap out of it. It's out for PS3 so you should check it out if you haven't already. It will suck your life away!
Edit:
btw...I know Oblivion didn't come out until a few months after launch, but we got the 360 with that game in mind. It sure as Hell wasn't for Perfect Dark Zero!

I understand the millions of fanboys that have bought X360 or PS3, Blu-Ray or HD DVD defending what they have bought. Everybody think that what he bought was better than the other and want to believe they're spending cash on something that's worth it.
Anyway, the power of a console does'nt make games more fun (PS3 or XBOX360 or whatever the console is).
Some peoples have fun on X360.
Some peoples have fun on PS3.
Some peoples have fun with Wii.
And some others enjoy NES emulators, board games and doing sports outdoor.
This will always be the same story on boards... "my father doing better pizza than your"...

um...jack squat?
Leave it to Sony fanboys to derail any argument with their nonsense. Its why I never ever post in any gaming forum.

Hey Lolerdongs....
Read it and weep....
Metal Gear Solid 4: Xbox 360 Version Will Have Exclusive Content, Wii Version On The Cards
Now that Metal Gear Solid 4 has been confirmed (posted a few days ago) for the Xbox 360, a Konami representative has stated that the 360 version will also feature exclusive content and gameplay not offered in the PS3 edition. Not much else was revealed apart from the fact that with the addition of online capability, MGS4 is a leading product and will signal the dawn of a new gaming era for the MGS series. Maybe even bigger news than Xbox 360 exclusive content, is that with the phenomenal success of the Wii, a scaled down version of the game is rumoured to be in the pipeline.

Formely announced as a PlayStation 3 exclusive, Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will now also be released on Xbox 360, with a cut-down Nintendo Wii version also a possibility, according to online reports
The new game in the multi-million selling franchise will feature objective-based missions, while the Xbox 360 version will also include exclusive content and gameplay not offered in the PS3 edition.
Industry insiders claim publisher Konami is also in talks with Nintendo to bring a cut-down MGS game to the Wii.

Hello. Well, as of right now, the only Blu-ray stand-alone deal I've seen is the current (cheaper) of the two Sony Blu-ray players. While Best Buy has it for $399, you can get it today for $299 at a nearby Fry's Electronics (mainly located in California and Texas), or their online store.
Unfortunately, it's not getting the best reviews, from several sites I've checked, and it's standard DVD upconversion quality is just "average" and not as good as either the Toshiba HD-DVD players, or the Oppo standard DVD players. Blu-ray quality is excellent, but some have posted various complaints about long-load times (etc), similar to the first generation models.
I'd wait to see what 2008 models are released soon, with new models and details coming this week at the annual CES show in Las Vegas. The newer 2008 Blu-ray units will be Profile 1.1 compliant (for compatibility of interactive content on Blu-ray discs), hopefully a little cheaper than current models, and should appear on store shelves within 6 to 8 weeks.
Or you can buy a PS3 (two models at two prices), which I'm sure you know about anyway. Here's hoping that OPPO will put out a top-quality Blu-ray player this year, at the value-prices they are well known for.

Metal Gear 4 is PS3 exclusive.
TheGameReviews.com had the opportunity to speak with Konami’s PR about this latest rumor, and unsurprisingly, Konami is baffled by claims that Metal Gear Solid 4 is going multiplatform. In a rush to get the word out, it seems that those who broke the story talked to everyone except Konami, who made this statement "For the record, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is a PlayStation 3 exclusive and there are no plans to develop an Xbox 360 version of the game."
http://ps3.thegamereviews.com/story-342-Rumor-Killer-No-MGS4-on-360-says-Konami.html
The reason for the GTA 4 delay, lack of hard drive support and compression that is needed to fit a Blu Ray game on a DVD. The Down loadable content will not be that big.
Also the PS3 has an advantage with networking and file transfers...

The only advantage the 360 had was that it came out first.

Lol. There HAS been ZERO news besides 360 fanboy sites saying MGS4 would be coming to 360. Konami and Kojima said a MILLION times, it's a playstation 3 exclusive. Accept it.
MGS4:
"We're telling our fans that if you want to play 'Metal Gear Solid 4', you have to buy a PS3," he said. "The PlayStation brand has always been good to us, and we're pretty bullish on the PS3."
FF13/FF13vs.:
Noruma: Our programmers were asking, "is it okay if we program it as a PS3 exclusive? If you're thinking of porting it to other consoles, we might have to change the specs to follow suit the others." And I answered, "PS3 exclusive, of course."
Also on GTA4 delay:
"On PS3 you've got a guarantee that every machine is going to have a hard-drive and, with Blu-ray, you've got plenty of storage, whereas on Xbox 360 there's no guarantee of a hard-drive and you're working with the DVD format. Does that create limitations?" To which he replied, "Yep."
