Well there you have it, clear as day.

Warner Bros. went Blu because it was the smart thing to do.

End of story.

I remember Disney saying the same thing. Or was it a no comment?

Well we definitely know that Warner wouldn't lie about anything to the public, right?

If Roger Clemens does decide to fully retire from baseball this year Warner Bros should offer him a position as a spokesman. He already has the right mindset.

Why was it smart?

or should I ask

Why is MPEG2 so fabulous?
Why is DRM wonderful?
Why is Region Coding excellent?
Why is Java incredibly fantastic?

A small man standing next to me at a urinal once told me, "It's not how big you are, but how well you use it."

Maybe because they are dumb. They continue making mistakes on their releases...until now I realize, HD DVD was the way to go.

Wow, so they made a harsh decision to go only Blu only days after claiming they would release on both formats without getting a payoff? Riiiight.

again the wording is very specific, there was no "payment" probably meaning they weren't given a briefcase full of cash or a check. Most likely they did receive some sort of advertising incentives or something similar.

Anyway at the end of the day it's all moot, they made their decision.

"There was no payment" because they haven't received it yet.
