Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away won the Best Animated Feature Oscar. Maybe now--finally--anime will get the respect that it deserves. The genre isn't comprised solely of porn and Pokemon. There is great art coming from the fingers of Japanese animators, and this art deserves to be viewed and admired.

Hock, I'm not a big fan of dubbing, either, because they're usually done poorly. (The English dub for Crouching Tiger is atrocious and racist for its use of accents that make Chinese people sound like they are incapable of speaking proper English.) However, there are some very good dubs out there--it can't be denied that some voice actors are very talented. I always make it a point to watch motion pictures with their original aspect ratios, original languages, etc. I was merely pointing out how cool it was to have Kiki do Kiki's voice in 'Kiki'. [:)]

I'm not a big fan of dubbing. Foreign language films should be viewed the way it was meant to be, with its original soundtrack.

Kiki is a real gem. By the way, they got the real-life Kiki--Kirsten Dunst (her real-life nickname is Kiki!)--to do the English dub. Pretty cool, huh?

lol.....we seem to be having quite a number of misunderstandings lately. [:)]

I was just critisizing the nature of dubbing in general and not because I see you supporting it.
Heh, Kiki doing Kiki, that's cute!

I think I'll be getting all 3 titles when they are released.

Mala Vista needs to re-do Princess Mononoke, too.
