i'm debating too. I've always bought hd when a choice was available. will probably do the same til the end of hd if it comes. Not getting rid my XA2 though and my onkyo plays true hd so well.

I'm definitely gonna buy this on either HD or B-R, I can't decide which. I loved this as a kid and I still own the original Widescreen/Standard flipper from 1997 on DVD. It's scratched to hell because I didn't take care of my movies on DVD back then, so I think an update is well deserved. Hopefully it has the Van Hagar music video too.

Perhaps you would benefit listening the audio commentary by actor David Spade in his magnum opus JOE DIRT. It's a personal fav of mine, and maybe would help your attitude here.
Oh, pay no attention to that fancy word above - magnum opus - it's an adult phrase. By the way, TWISTER is a fun "popcorn" movie, with an incredible DTS or Dolby Digital soundtrack... ever seen the 2nd DVD release (SpEd)?

"Twister" kicks butt! It's one of the next movies I was considering buying on HD DVD. I was so looking forward to watching this with a Dolby TrueHD soundtrack!

Well, here's a another link to the TWISTER SPECS on HD-DVD and Blu-ray (to be released early May).
Yes, it WILL include the Van Halen music video. And the Blu-ray audio will offer Uncompressed PCM, while the HD-DVD will feature Dolby TrueHD. Definitely will buy this... but should I get the "collector's item" HD-DVD, or the main hi-def disc format (Blu-ray) - ? .... or both (eventually, with a sale price), hehehe

Just pre-ordered the HD DVD version from Amazon.

I'd love to check this out in hidef just kick the crap out of my sound system but I doubt I'll buy it.
