Skyhawk, I just got my new light cartridge for my 1080p DLP from Mits. It took two days for delivery and 5 minutes to install. The first thing I did was pop in the new remastered THE FIFTH ELEMENT and WOW. The picture was stunning. I think I'm going to buy an extra light cartridge since this one was free. I just wanted to let you know how things turned out.

Great! It must have been a rough 2 days for you

I have the 5th Element remastered as well. I'm so thankful they redid this one properly. Speaking of bulbs, I should probably think about getting an extra for my Optima HD80 soon. I'm up to about 1300 hours on it. I just delay the purchase thinking that the bulbs will come down in price the longer I run this one.

And my status is, i have no HD movies right now at all. I sold all my HD stuff, or gave a few other movies to some friends. I keept an HDDVD player for upconverting and renting. I made more money than i spent, since i used reward points to purchase most things.

wait! i still got 10 freebies coming in the mail.

kucoloco, you should go out right now and buy Serenity on HD DVD. It looks really sweet, and it may be awhile before it's released on Blu-ray.

What are you guys talking about. Did you find a cheap place for DLP lamps? I just bought one for $363 from HP which I thought was a total ripoff but what can you do (I gotta have my hd tv). Serenity does look excellent. It's only $15 at amazon right now. I got it with Waterworld for $20 last week but that deal is no longer valid.

Well first off let me say, I'm sorry Invisible Biker that your Steelers lost. Second, if you own a rear projection TV (CRT, LCD, or in my case DLP) somewhere down the line you will need to replace the light. I found a place on ebay that sells my DLP light for $112 dollars try it out.
