Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is, outside of it being the cheapest BR player. I don't think there is much I can do on a PS3 that I can't already do on my 360. I could justify buying a PS3 if they had just one game that was a must-have for me, because I know there are other PS3 games that I would also enjoy, just not enough to justify buying the console. There are a few exclusives that I would like to play, but nothing that justifies paying $400+ just to play them. Basically all of the games I want (Wii titles excluded) are either on both systems or are M$ exclusive.

Sorry Kuco, I did'nt mean to sound crazy, I set the PS3 to bitstream and the 605 to LPCM HDMI. The reason for doing this is that LPCM is the same if you bitstream it or not and it sounds better to me than DTHD, the 605 will automatically decode LPCM as PCM 5.1 or 7.1 (which ever you tell the PS3 to bitstream)at 4.6 Mbps. Since I don't listen to DTHD and I like the reciever to decode I just leave it on bitstream. Especially if I'm watching a SD-DVD with regular 5.1 audio codecs. When April 1st comes I'll be getting the Panasonic BD50K which decodes and bitstreams everything but the kitchen sink.

From what I understand the XBOX 360 does not internally decode HD codes and only has HDMI 1.2, you need 1.3 to get DTHD or dts HD/MA.

You need HDMI 1.3 in order to bitstream Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD.

Kuco, why get rid of it? Keep it. I know that my PS3 will retire to just playing games and media networking, where as the Panny will have all Blu ray and SD-DVD duties. I wish I could get a profile 1.0 or 1.1 bitstream Blu ray player for around $350-400 bucks. I'm not a big fan of bonus features. I just want great picture and sound. I think the Panny BD50K will run about 6 or maybe 700 bucks.

It's an affordable Computer that plays BR movies, and Games... It is a good deal.
I still don't want one.
