The most fantastic 80 some odd minutes ever. It's a great little tid bit to know that this movie was shot in 10 days. What appals me is that it has been three years in the waiting. What terrible timeing it had, what with 9/11 incident and the Snipers in Washington. The premier for the movie was LAST YEAR! Either way I have been waiting to see this movie for a while now, ever since the trailer hit Apple.com/trailers.

It has some great actors in it, Forest Whitaker (ghost dog, panic room) is one of them. He is underrated in my opinion, seems to place a lot of depth into his charactors. Colin Farrel is good also, but this movie was shot in his days when we was the star of Tigerland (unpopular). He became famous much later (ie Minority Report, Daredevil...popular) For an irishman he also pulls off the New york accent not half badly in-conjunction with the emotional scenes of confession. Note: There is a reason why there are hardly any credits at the beggining. If you haven't seen the movie, and haven't read any reviews of it, don't. The reviews might give it away. (That doesn't however mean that you should not read this.)

This story was actually written 20 years ago, as sort of a 'one-act-play' type script. It makes great tranistion to a movie, regardless of the fact that it is shot in one location. It is the situation that gets me, and the intesity of it. This con-artist is being held hostage by someone he can't see. And what bakes yer noodle is that no one knows, nor can see him either! It's simple, but Joel Shoemaker really pulls it off. Sure he fucked up batman! But I would like to think this movie is a nice little redeeming venture.

Yes it will be on my list of 'DvD's to get'

Last night, Jay Leno showed a funny video about The Tonight Show's version of the sequel to Phone Booth. In it, Colin Farrell is terrorized by a telemarketer in a phone booth!
