I preferred Jack Black when he was sprayed by them obnoxiously large bullets, from a similarly obnoxious tripod machine gun turret, remote-controlled by an obnoxiously shallow character Bruce Willis, from an obnoxiously remake version of the JACKAL.

I just hope it has a strong enough story to make it fun for the 90 minutes it probably runs.

kucoloco labled xplaytendo as "clueless" for his comment. (above)

Oh really? Hey kucoloco, have you ever seen the original film, THE DAY OF THE JACKAL? It's an outstanding film, one of the best thrillers even made! Universal hasn't yet even released a decent Anamorphic DVD version yet (or on HD-DVD either). One of my personal favorites.

While I can tolerate the 1997 remake, THE JACKAL, when compared to the original, it's quite disappointing, lacking the great pacing and suspense of the classic 1973 original.

Kuc's comment is very much understandable. I commend him for NOT SITTING THROUGH the whole Bruce Willis movie. I'm a fan of Michael Caton Jones after he made TOMBSTONE...

THE JACKAL should not be included in his resume.

(as always... like a paper boat: I drifted from the main topic at hand... again.)

The trailer looks actually pretty good...if only it didn't have to compete with WALL-E...
