It's already been 7 years with these formats on the market

That's not true, it's been more like 2 years (almost?). And the year over year increase in penetration of high-def media would make any other business drool. Zip.ca has reported an increase as much as 50% month over month for rentals of Blu-ray and HD DVD. I wish the stocks I owned grew that much. Just in the past few months, the average Joe who would normally have to visit a specialty electronics store, now sees racks of disks for sale a big-box discount stores like Walmart, Sears, and Zellers (in Canada). Rentals are suddenly now available at your local corner video store.

To be honest, I'm not sure what you're long rant is about, or what truth or insight there is in what you're trying to communicate.

First off, dude your so wrong on the 2 year aspect for one. Both platforms were released in 2002. That's a fact! you just probably haven't paid much attention to it plus I'm assuming your from Canada these statistics are the United States. Second off, who said anything about rentals? Third off, Zip.ca is a online rental place in Canada & that statistic of 50% month increase is the biggest joke I've heard especially when it's from a rental online source. Talk about a business propaganda to raise sales for a low selling format. If you didn't know both HD formats only have 3% of the market here in the U.S. as far Canada goes I couldn't tell yea. Both formats have been out in rental stores for sometime that doesn't mean anything. Just because the discs are everywhere now doesn't mean much of anything or have any kind of effect on facts.

Last but not least, I am not ranting about anything really just simply putting all the crap together about DVD/Blu-Ray/HD DVD/iTunes in perspective & showing what's actually going on & the amount of people who think they know but really do not know the actual truth. As far as truth & insight well, I can tell you it's all true but that is up to you & what you want to believe. I'm not going to have big debate about all this. I just simply put the facts out there & you've got time to spare be my guest & research it all. I'm not here to break your leg.
