If any Canadians are interested, Future Shop online took a while, but they've finally dropped their prices as well. They have the HD-A3 for $169 and the HD-A30 for $219.

Unfortunately Future Shop and Best Buy do not sell the HD-XA2 anymore. And neither carries the newer HD-A35. Good price on the A30 though. At least it does native 1080p/24 output. For upconverstion, I think both the A30 and A3 use the Anchor Bay ABT1018 which is kind of sad, but I figure I use the PS3 for standard DVD upconversion now anyway.

If you want an XA2 London drugs sells them. As of last week they were $700...still too pricey but maybe they will drop their prices too.
