Prices always get lower after time, although the issues with Blu-Ray are the profiles and play back problems. I suppose having cheaper players would be appealing when having to replace a player for another.

Its unfortunate that Sony is charging so much in the first place for the same technology as the other format. Makes no sense to me. It both formats use the same blue laser then shouldn't they both be sold for comparable prices?

Agreed! And I think you just found the reason for HD DVD's lack of CE manufacturer support (other than Toshiba).

Oh come on Hawk give a little more credit than that. See whenever we HD DVD supporters print something that is fact, you Blu Boys make statements like that. You guys can dish it out, but you sure can't take it. LOL

Oh, so how "soon", and just what is the "big announcement" going to be?
-Perhaps a FREE Toshiba HD-DVD player given to owners who exchange a PS3?
-Or, is Microsoft going to receive government permission to buy one or more Hollywood studios?
Anyone else have an idea?
