Just occured to me that my Bose 321 is not a HD player! UGhh....

Took the plunge and bought the new tv , (Sharp) aquious<can't spell>....
When I put my sons Transformer hd movie in all I got was "could not read the format"!!!
My bad I guess.

Thinking of getting the Toshiba hd dvd player with the free movies and all.
But what would be the best way to hook my bose and the new hd dvd player to my tv?
HDMI ,av, optic??? Leaning towards the hdmi.. Is it worth the price?

Any help would be great

Stuck in St louis...

Two things

1. Toshiba a3 is worth it.

2. HDMI = True high definition connection.

Therefore, HD-DVD is worth buying (especially for Transformers for a start - my start was Transformers -- mega thanks to my girlfriend). While it may not have as much content or studio support as Blu-Ray, it's more of the quality over quantity factor here. Believe me, I am still happy with HD-DVD, and I hope it will continue to grow.

Yeah HDMI, the Toshiba player. If you have multiple HDMI hook them both up that way, but honestly... return the Bose system. They are just overpriced and not worth the scratch you pay for them. At one time BOSE was known for excellence, but when I heard their $4000 system I wasn't impressed one bit. I even turned to the guy and said my PC speakers sound better.

I have heard Onkyo based home theaters that sound much better and were less costly.
