Beowulf for North America is distributed from Paramount... so probably HD-DVD exclusive (I would think).
But outside of N.A., most of the Blu-ray releases are "region free" [Fox titles are usually locked], and BEOWULF on Blu-ray will be available from Australia, so far.

FYI...
And for North American Blu-ray fans, use the following link to see Region B Blu-ray Titles available - (most are not region-locked, and will play on Region A and Region C players).

Henning... you previously stated that the UK Blu-ray edition of BEOWULF is 'region-locked'. However, could this be incorrect?
Yesterday I noticed that the blurayregioncodes.com indicates it being 'region-FREE', and also HighDefDigest recently reviewed it, and nowhere is there a mention of it being 'locked', and I'm not aware that they will review any 'locked' titles anyway.
Some clarification would be appreciated by anyone who knows FOR SURE - thanks!

LH, if you look on the "technical specs" section under the cover art of Beowulf at the Beowulf review at highdefdigest.com, it says "Region: A, B, C". Now correct me if I'm wrong but, aren't those all the Blu-ray regions? If so that would make the movie "region free" right?

Thanks for pointing that out wii-lite, and I'd have to guess you are right - it does seem to indicate the disc will play in all regions. I just wanted clarification, as previously DVDTOWN Editor-in-chief Henning had stated on the Msg Bd (twice) that it was 'locked', and now I question that assessment.
For myself, I have the Paramount HD-DVD ($22/Amazon), but was curious about the UK Blu-ray edition. There's also the Australian Blu-ray (don't know if it's locked), and the forthcoming (April 11) Japanese Blu-ray edition, which will play in North American Blu-ray players since both Japan and N.A. are in Region A.
On a side note, I see that both Best Buy and Circuit City are closed for the Easter holiday today. I will usually visit one or the other on Sunday afternoon to check local discounted discs, or price-match from another retailer's adv (in the Sunday ad inserts).

(In 5 y.o. bratty tone) Well, I got that version too but mine only cost $10 brand new at Hollywood Video + $1.50 for the replacement HD-DVD. HA, HA!
lol, just messing with ya.
