Anyone here ever wonder if some posters were really Sony's marketing, "Phase Hydra"? And not just those members alone but any members?

Honestly every time I come on I have to take everything that's boasts Blu-Ray in any way as a grain of salt, just because I wonder if the topic poster is part of Sony's infiltrators. In a way it's kind of scary and disturbing... That Sony would actually sink that low to that type of marketing.

Now I'm not here to point fingers and call people out... but it's just something to think about.

If you're speaking of posters5 he has been a member here for a long time. He even reviews movies himself. I doubt very much he works for Sony.

And how much are you paid to start threads like this? Don't worry, you don't have to tell me.

As far as your original question...

Yes I wonder that a lot actually. Some of the posts just seem to be such a sales pitch that it really makes you wonder. There seems to be a lot of deception and misinformation in their posts also. It's one thing when someone does it accidentally but when a poster does it blatantly, and repetitively...well their agenda becomes pretty transparent.

Falcon,

You're newer here than I thought. I doubt that the original poster was talking about Eddie (posters5). Eddie is one of my best friends and a longtime DVDTOWN reviewer and poster. He just gets a little contentious at times trying to keep people honest. But a Blu-ray shill? About a million miles away. He owns an HD DVD player and presently reviews HD DVDs and SD DVDs at his own blog site:

Mike37... that's because you've only been here a few months. posters5 (Eddie) has done many movie reviews here, for reading on DVDTOWN. And, hey, he knows Tim Raynor!

Henning addressed this in his thread.

Yet it seems that just as soon as we ban one troll or shill, another troll or shill almost immediately takes his place. This has happened time and again, leading us to believe that (1) it is all just monumental coincidence, (2) that they are all the same person posting under disguised ISPs, or (3) that they are all different people but working for the same ad agencies.

None of the Blu-ray biased posters here work for Sony. You can tell because of just how much they perked up about the WB news. A Sony employee wouldn't have thrown such a fit like they did here. I thought we'd have to bust out a defibrolator how much they carried on...and at this point I think we still need to keep a few oxygen canisters ready.

JPS,

Many of the trolls of recent days were not even here when Warners made their announcement.
