Just think, by being patient until the "hi-def disc format war" eventually ends with a clear winner, Tim will have saved much money as by then he will get a fully functional, low-cost player...Tim will be able to get a player that's up-to-date on the profiles, and probably for under $300 (or even $200). Probably a PANASONIC.

...meanwhile I have been enjoying hi def movies for well over a year now. Come on Tim, live a little!!!
So you spend a few bucks, big deal...take a gamble life's too short.

"You love me . . . YOU REALLY LOVE ME!"

Note: I realize Sally did that at the Oscars, but I just couldn't find a pic of it, so Emmy had to do.

It's ABOUT FREAKING TIME someone titled a thread like this! Sorry I've missed it until now, and sorry I didn't think of it first, Tim, but, I think it's appropriate that Eddie did. WELCOME BACK EDDIE!!

Tim,

I have to agree, you are the man. I'm glad you're still around, and John for that matter. I think with Eddie, Chris, and some of the 'old timers' coming back, maybe we can clean up this town of ours! I've even seen Sean post on the boards once in a while. Why do I hear the "Cheers" theme starting? " makin' your way in the world today, takes everything you've got..."

Henning, John, Eddie, Tim, Sean, Chris, and all of the other old timers here, (and some of the new guys too),

I agree with Tim's sentiment. I really do appreciate all of you, and you are all the reasons I come back to DVD Town, time and again. With as much CRAP that's gone on here in the last year or so, I'm still very glad I stumbled across DVD Town, and all of you fine people, 5 years ago. You guys are all tops in my book.

Is there any way to exclude the HD DVD/Blu-ray area from appearing in the "latest post" column?

Or if we could just have this at the top-corner of the screen:
