Well, I haven't been getting out to the movies as much as I used to (work, gas is insane, etc.). However, if I get around to it or wait till DVD release, I'm look forward to the following:

The Dark Knight -- Loved Batman Begins so I should have no problem enjoying the new one (fingers crossed). From what I've seen of Ledger's previews, it looks to be a much darker Joker than some might anticipate, but it is a change I can appreciate since I'm so picky with this genre.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -- Do I need to give any reason? lol

Hellboy II -- The previews of this one make it look even better than the first film. It would be nice if it turns out that way, as I did enjoy the first movie. I know it's another in the comic-book genre that I'm really picky with, but "Hellboy 1" worked for me even for campy style, super hero. In that respect, it's much better than Fantastic Farce, The Hulk, Ghost Rider, etc.

Wall*E -- I think I want to see this one just out for something light and fun. However, the little robot, Wall*E, sure looks a lot like if you took the robot from "Short Circuit" and the robots from "Silent Running" and combined them.

Bourne inhalation -- In this one we discover that Jason Bourne is actually the one guy that kills the IMF team in "Mission Imposible 1".

There are some I AM NOT looking forward to, such as "Iron Man", "Speed Racer", "The Incredible Hulk", and "Harold & Kumar Escape".

"The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" and "X-Men Origins:Wolverine" . . . Meh, maybe. Not sure how I feel about seeing those two yet. Nevertheless, hopefully 2008 will turn out better than 2007.

I wasn't as excited for Iron Man at all, I was very into Hulk, but after watching the trailer, eh...I'm also in for Harol and Kumar (very entertaining first movie)...Narnia, I'm a fan...

...and lets hope the Wolverine movie takes our bad taste away that X-3 left us...

Tim, you didn't like "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle"? If the sequel is half as good, I'm there

No, I didn't get anything out of Harold and Kumar. To me it was just typical college potty humor I've seen done in far better films. I just didn't see it as anything original and far from creative.

Nah, the problem wasn't the stereotyping -- Hollywood does that to everyone. I think it was more of a race issue between burger places. They made "White Castle" look as if it was superior over Burger King, McDonald's, In & out, etc.! So, if you really look within the plot, you'll see the film is a bit racist. I mean, notice that the burger joint they're trying to get to has the word "White" associated with it.

Tim, I liked the movie due to it's Animal House slapstick nature, although yes it is crude etc. Regarding your 'White' comment above, on a serious note I've always had a problem with the movie An Officer and a Gentlemen - because (in my opinion) ALL of the (major) white men and women are depicted as being of bad character, yet the few (black) African-American characters are just the opposite... always felt a reverse racism is being implied, whether it was deliberate or not.

I have no problem with movies that deliberately deal with racism, but this film, while obviously a serious drama dealing primarily with significant other topics, came across to me as racist by not presenting any major 'white' characters to be of good character - all of them (male or female) were 'failures' compared to the 'black' characters, until the film's ending [Richard Gere's character]. Watch the film sometime and see what I mean.

OMG! You didn't actually think I was serious in that last post? This is the mad-man Timmy thread! It's all about poking fun and joking around here -- no serious . . . ness!

Of course I knew you weren't serious, that's why I said "on a serious note, ..."

I ate an In & Out burger once (when visiting friends in Santa Ana California) - excellent! White Castle (also Krystal) burgers are cheap, but they have a certain grill flavor, and when in the mood they provide a satisfying meal (buy several at a time of course).

There's just ONE location of WC here in Houston (north area), and far from my home in the SE area of Houston. I have some friends in Beaumont [where they have one WC too], who visit every few months, and bring some WCs occasionally for me to enjoy. My personal favorite fast-food burger here is Whataburger, Fuddrucker's, and McDonald's QP. (and those from specialty restaurants)
