Well if the Matt Damon has made so much money and publicity from the Bourne series, Toshiba should get him to do some HD DVD commercials.
Even borrowing William Shatner from priceline.com, to be the HDM Negotiator.

matt damon is too classy to shill.
on the other hand, disney trots out brad bird to talk about how great "ratatouille" looks in blu-ray. you know what? i attended a press conference for "the incredibles". bird is a great animator, but he knew next to nothing with regards to home-video presentation. he kept using incorrect terms to describe dvd's video/audio specs.

Gun Salesman: We call this piece the Fecalator. One look at it and the target shits him or herself. Try it on.
Loki: Well, it's a lot more compact than the flaming sword, but it's not nearly as impressive. Just doesn't have that Wrath-of-the-Almighty edge to it. I mean, come on, how am I supposed to strike fear into the hearts of the wicked with this thing? Look at this...
Bartleby: Well, then, you know, don't use a gun. Just lay the place to waste, like.
Loki: Easy for you to say. You get off light in razing. You got to stand there and read at Sodom and Gomorrah, I had to do all the work.
Bartleby: What work did you do? You lit a few fires.
Loki: I rained down sulphur, man, there's a subtle difference.
Bartleby: Oh, yeah, I'm sure.
Loki: Hey, you know, f*&k you, man. Any moron with a pack of matches can set a fire. Raining down sulphur is like an endurance trial man. Mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in, outside of soccer.

i agree, but i do like the end when they go door to door and beat the tar out of everyone that had disrespected them on chat forums. You have no clue how many times i would love to do that.

Eddie,
That is one serious man-crush you've got going. Were you one of the voters?
Matt is flattered. That's why he's pointing at you.

In my opinion, the "Bourne" films are to audiences today, what yesteryear's Bond films were to audiences then. Likewise, Matt Damon's "Jason Bourne" is Sean Connery's James Bond. They're great actors in amazing films, which is good for everyone all around. Too bad there aren't any "Bourne" films left.

it's fun thinking of versus scenarios, but at the end of the day, the other spy movies just rip-off the "bourne" movies, even though they all started before "the bourne identity" showed up in 2002. i mean, think about it...which one of the following scares you the most?

OK Eddie... how about DOGMA (exclusive to Blu-ray)
(and I look forward to whenever Blu-ray Hi-Def versions arrive for both Rounders and Good Will Hunting)
Note to DVDTOWN editors - while you do have a SD-DVD review of Dogma in the database, the search engine doesn't provide results if searching the movie's title. I had to locate the review from the main reviews page under the letter "D" - need to correct this.

By the way, The Brothers Grimm is available also in HD-DVD in www.amazon.de.
Some warnings though:
The title has german menus, and german speech. One has to go to the disc menu to switch back to original audio, and then again to the menu to switch off the german subtitles (which are automatically activated when the speech is changed). Also there are couple of places in the movie, where there is still some german text ("In the year 1789.. " or something like that). I didn't find that disturbing myself (because those texts are not always the original ones anyway, but translated). Movies in amazon.de are dirt cheap currently, but of course the postage may become a problem.
This is probably common knowledge, but there are also other "blu-ray exclusive" titles available in different european web shops (usually german or scandinavian releases). And it works also other way around, so you people with blu-ray players will find "hd-dvd exclusive" titles in blu-ray. That "exclusive" crap never meant anything, if you are global and open minded
Just be careful to check out the disc contents (language options) before buying (and never buy a movie that is "HD-DVD WMV" or something like that, those are not HD-DVD's). I wouldn't buy movies from japan, for example, because that is one of the languages that I cannot read at all, the menus would be problematic.
EDIT: I tried to make the post more readable, I am not native english speaker, so pardon my language...

I understand what you are meaning (menus etc), but for the record (as Tony1569 indicated), the Japanese Blu-ray discs are compatible for North American players [not region 'locked'] since both areas are part of the Region A group.
Thankfully, the majority of Region B and Region C Blu-ray titles are 'region-free' and playback compatible anywhere, although some of the NEW release movies from Fox and Disney (occasionally Sony and others) are region-locked.
To keep tabs on the various Blu-ray region releases, keep monitoring websites such as http://www.blurayregioncodes.com (again, thanks to Skyhawk for providing this info several months back).
And for those living in North America, a great source for purchasing overseas titles (DVD, HD-DVD, and Blu-ray) is thru Cincinnati Ohio (USA)-based Xploited Cinema - who provides excellent and fast service.
