Is Warner Bros. Still 100% bluray exclusive??????

sounds to me that they may still support HD-DVD after may if its needed..

Well, I hope that is the case. But how will we let WB know that we want a specific movie en masse? Do we write a letter or do we start an online petition or something?

Sounds like one of the isolated cases may very well be The Dark Knight. It's going to be a huge blockbuster so they might want to go dual for that one. At least, I'm hoping anyways.

Then that doesn't mean exclusive. That means 98% BD and 2% HD...

I guess they'll wait to see what happens to the movies in theaters. If it's a huge, smash hit then they will release it in both but if it does really well it is only BD? Or does Toshiba have to call them and basically beg for an HD version?

Isolated cases??!! Hummm...Warner Brothers talks with forked tounge?? Don't kid yourself, if they can make $$$$$...you might see Limited HD DVD Special Editions...'ya never know.

They will stock stores with EXISTING HD DVD stock if they request it. Just like Amazon still carries most Paramount Blu-ray titles, it's only because the Paramount warehouse hasn't yet run out of old copies in their warehouse and not because they are printing (and thus 'supporting' HD DVD). So this just means that they will indeed let stores sell all remaining stock they have instead of burning it. Online retailers like Amazon I'm sure will continue to update stock from WB until they run out, and it could take 1-2 years, who knows.

I bet these "isolated" instances they are refering to are their big franchises such a Harry Potter, Batman, and such. After all, it'll be nice for the HD-DVD consumer to be able to complete their HP series with all HD's. Let's hope WB comes through that way. After all, they make desicions based on what "the consumer wants", lol. )

This is whats called Preemptive ass covering. Nothing is ever 100%. Basically they're saying that if demand is there for HD DVDs then they will keep restocking shelves. I assume there's also a clause in Warners contract with blu ray that allows them to go neutral again if HD DVD sales are good enough.

Paramount is doing the same thing with Blu-ray. Amazon still has 17 of the 30 Paramount BD titles in stock. They may even get in more copies of some of the other 13 titles they don't have. Even of those 13 titles, 3rd party sellers have reasonable prices (under $25) on all of them but 'Shooter' ($55) and 'We Were Soldiers ($45).

That's exactely what it means. It says nothing about the old stock of HD DVD's. Of course they'll keep stocking them until the inventory is depleated. They're not going to just throw them away. It says that in isolated instances HD titles wil be CREATED
So to answer the question of this topic...NO. If they are willing to put out HD DVD's, even in isolated instances, then that is not 100% BD.
