Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard for many years now that one of the driving forces for the XBox series success is the VERY popular HALO game, now in it's 3rd version. Just this one series has provided HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS in revenue for Microsoft.

But when they start releasing games for it that take advantage of the capacity and bitrate of Blu-ray, along with its high-end processor - what if people discover within the next couple years it plays games too?
This may just be the perfect Sony end game - game machine disguised as a Blu-ray player. Get it into homes, and when the price of 2.0 profile SA Blu-ray players comes down, mom and dad decide to get the SA and let the kid have the PS3 eventually and are forced to buy games for it!? OMG, what a marketing strategy!

Never said that it didn't have more content. That's just the Blu-ray troll chant and it gets annoying.

"Available Tuesday on DVD, and Blu-ray Hi-Def"

> WARRIORS OF HEAVEN AND EARTH
"Presented in 1080p on a dual layer 50GB Blu-ray disc, 'Warriors of Heaven and Earth' is certainly technically impressive. Encoded with the MPEG-2 codec, the film boasts bold colors, sharp contrast levels, and good shadow delineation. Unlike other some other martial arts films released in high-def, there's no source noise, crush issues, or compression artifacts. And compared to the standard DVD edition, this Blu-ray transfer is simply amazing. Fine object and texture details are crisp and well rendered -- wind-blown sand looks great, patterns on costumes are clearly defined, and I could identify every tiny background element in this historical world. The landscapes and villages are equally noteworthy and small windows, mingled plant life, and clouds in the sky all display nice detail."
> Pixar's RATATOUILLE
"In my recent Blu-ray review of 'CARS,' I raved about that disc's five-star video quality. It's a tough act to follow, but somehow 'Ratatouille' looks even better. Pixar and Disney present the film in 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video at its original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.40:1, and every single pixel is, well, perfect. This is simply the best high-def presentation I've ever seen of an animated feature.
A direct digital-to-digital conversion, the transfer is as delicious as the greatest French feast you've ever had. The film's color palette is just gorgeous, with delicate shades of pinks, blues and greens contrasting wonderfully with deeper crimsons and purples. The finely-tuned shadings and gradients are so smoothly rendered that the image leaps off the screen. This is gloriously three-dimensional animation, and the sense of depth and texture to the image is exactly what high-def is all about. All other elements of the presentation are superb as well -- blacks, contrast and sharpness are spot-on. Likewise, the encode looks perfect, with no pixelization, macroblocking or banding/posteriztion.
Simply put, the picture quality of this Blu-ray edition of 'Ratatouille' is absolutely flawless."
